The skilled stream includes a range of visas based on the skills of applicants and skills shortages in Australia.

Applicants are rated under on a points system, which takes account of a range of factors, including skills and qualifications, work experience, age, English language fluency etc.

EMPLOYER NOMINATION STREAM

The employer nomination stream includes a range of visas where approved employers sponsors employees to fill nominated positions within their organisation.

Employer nomination by an employer in regional Australia
Regional sponsored migration scheme – offshore

BUSINESS SKILLS STREAM

The business skills migration scheme includes a range of visas for business owners, senior executives, and high net worth individuals, to migrate to Australia.

REFUGEE AND HUMANITARIAN STREAM

The refugee and humanitarian program has an offshore component for those who are outside Australia and are seeking resettlement in a safe country.

It also has an onshore component for those who apply for a visa from inside Australia on the basis of being a refugee.
